Support

ACS Infra is in research preview, and we answer by email. Write to us when you have a question, when something breaks, or when you need more tokens.

Get help

Write to infra@acsresearch.org from the email address that you sign in with, so that we can find your User. Never send an API key.

The FAQ answers common questions in a sentence or two, each with a link to the page that explains it.

Report a bug

Before you write, check Status codes. The API refuses many requests on purpose. For example, it answers 400 invalid_request to a misspelled field, and 400 model_not_found to a model that it does not serve. If your error is there, fix the request as that page says.

If the API still does something that you did not expect, write to infra@acsresearch.org. Send these details, so that we can reproduce the bug:

  • The request, as a curl command or as code. Write $ACS_API_KEY in place of the key, as the examples in these docs do.
  • What you expected the API to do.
  • The status code, and the whole error object or the whole output. For a stream, send every event up to data: [DONE].
  • The X-Request-Id header of the answer, which curl prints with -i. An error object has the same id in request_id.
  • The time of the request, in UTC.
  • The model of the request, and whether it was a stream.
  • The id of each Job, Loom, or Node that the request used.

In the App, Feedback under Support also reaches us. It sends your description, up to five screenshots, and the App's recent errors and request ids, which you see before you send them. Send feedback says how.

Ask for more tokens

An approval gives you a monthly allowance of tokens. When your research needs more, ask for them on the App's Request more tokens page. Say how many tokens you need, for which models and which project, and how you plan to use them. An admin approves the request with a Grant to your Budget, or rejects it with a note. The page shows the answer (Ask for more tokens). To give one API key its own Budget, which limits what one script spends, write to infra@acsresearch.org. Budgets and Holds explains the difference.

Discord

ACS has a Discord server, where Users share their results and experiments with Base models, talk about research, and hear about updates. In the App, Discord under Support opens its invite in a new tab. When the App shows no Discord, ask us for an invite at infra@acsresearch.org.

Next steps

Research preview lists the platform rules that you agreed to when you applied. The FAQ has short answers, each with a link to its page.
